Monique Short and Erica Emery grew up in Oklahoma City and were raised by their two entrepreneurial parents along with their two younger brothers. Their parents instilled in them a strong sense of self, giving back to their community and reaching out for their dreams. Both sisters graduated from Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City, and both had the honor of receiving full academic scholarships to the University of Oklahoma in 1997 and 2001, respectively.
Monique’s early career was focused on corporate outside sales. She excelled in providing people with supplies and resources so their company’s could succeed. Monique’s involvement in the community is a personal mission for her, whether it’s her bible based faith or mentoring children in Oklahoma City.
Erica’s career was focused on growing her and her husband’s business, Artisan Window and Power Washing. Erica has achieved great success within Artisan, growing it from a small 4 man operation in Oklahoma City, to 24 employees serving the entire state of Oklahoma.
During this latest chapter of their lives, Monique and Erica have directed their focus more on their personal vision and mission. Starting slowly, and cautiously they began their building and construction career by purchasing houses individually, remodeling them into beautiful homes, and selling them. Learning along the way with each transaction. Together they created Monarch Property Group, LLC, a construction company, where their vision continues to become reality.
Monarch Property Group is recognized for its unique design and craftsmanship, and has become a recognized name in the home builder community. Monarch’s diverse portfolio consists of extensive home renovations, custom designed homes for expanding families, and homes with amazing downtown views.
As a design build company, Monarch has had much success in designing the majority of the homes they have built. They realize that the “traditional” family home is a thing of the past. Homes today need to accommodate active lifestyles, home offices, and include flexible spaces. Monarch walks clients through an extensive design process to ensure their home meets all of their expectations.
